    The conference held on 26th November, 2020 was titled, “International Counter Terrorism Conference 2020.” After the welcome address given by the anchor, the speakers for Session 1 were, Dr. Shekhar Dutt [SM, IAS (Retd.), Former Governor & Former Defence Secretary, GoI], Mahaveer Singhvi [IFS, Joint Secretary (CT), Ministry of External Affairs, GoI], Vivek Agnihotri (Film Director, “Role of Entertainment Media in Awareness Campaign Against Islamic Terror”. For session 2, titled, “26/11 Mumbai to Pulwama Attack- Where are We?”, the speakers were: Lt Gen Satish Dua (Retd.) [PVSM, UYSM, SM, VSM, Executive Council Member- GCTC & Former Chief, Integrated Defence Staff & Former GOC XV Corps], Rear Adm. Sanatan Kulshreshta [Executive Council Member- GCTC & Former Director General Naval Armament Inspection, Indian Navy], Satish Mathur [IPS Retd., Advisory Board Member-GCTC & Former DGP, JNK], Mehraj Dube [Head Marketing, ABP Network], Maj Gen Bipin Bakshi [Deputy Director General, Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis]. The moderator for this session was Prabha Rao [IPS (Retd.), Executive Council Member- GCTC & Former Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, GoI]. This session was followed by a Panel Discussion on, “Insight and the effectiveness towards the policies and laws made by different state governments and international organisations towards counter terrorism” by Jacinta Carroll [Senior Research Fellow, Counter Terrorism & Social Cohesion, National Security College Australian University, Australia (TBC)]. This was followed by an MoU Ceremony between GCTC and RIEAS, the speakers of which were: Dr. Kanwal Sibal [IFS (Retd.), Chairman, Advisory Board- GCTC, & Former Foreign Secretary, GoI], and Professor John Nomikos (Director, RIEAS, Greece). The next session was titled, “Victim of Terrorism” and the speaker for the session was Nicholas Henin (Senior Journalist, Paris). This was followed by Session 4 on, “Countering Violent and Faith Based Extremism”, the speakers of which were: Dr. Anne Speckhard (Director, International Centre for the Study of Violent Extremism), Noor Dahri (Executive Director, Islamic Theology of Counter Terrorism), Professor (Dr.) Mgr. Rastislav Kazaksky, Syed Salman Chishty (Chairman, Chishty Foundation), Prof Marc Cools. The moderator for this session was: Nabila Jamal (Anchor, India Today). Finally, for Session 5, titled, “Countering Islamic Terrorism: Global Perspective”, the speakers were: Manish Shankar Sharma (IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh), Prof. Klaus Lange, Zafar Sareshwala (Former Chancellor, Maulana Azad University), Prof. Darko Trifunovic, Stephen Tankle (Assistant Professor, CNAS, American University), Peter Neumann (Founding Director, International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation, King’s College, London). The moderator for this session was: Nabila Jamal (Anchor, India Today).
