The BRICS Youth Council Entrepreneurship Pre-Consultations, organised by the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, serve as a prelude to the main event scheduled from March 3-7, 2025. These events aim to provide a dynamic platform for young representatives to showcase innovative business ideas and entrepreneurial initiatives.
The Global Counter Terrorism Council (GCTC), an independent, non-profit public policy and advocacy civil society think tank with global reach, has been entrusted as the official knowledge partner by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for this initiative. Together, the Ministry and GCTC strive to empower youth, foster innovation, and promote collaboration across the nation in preparation for this landmark event.
To increase the understanding of the youth on the thematic areas, 8 pre-consultations in various universities & colleges across India are being organised to provide a forum for healthy discussions, dissemination of India’s agenda on Entrepreneurship to a wider public at the grassroot level. The pre-consultations events will have panel discussions amongst the youth speakers on the pre-identified thematic areas. Young, creative students can take advantage of these pre-consultations through a Startup Pitching Event designed to promote innovation and entrepreneurship. This dynamic platform will also provide talented budding creative innovators an opportunity to participate in “idea-based competition” and win cash awards while presenting their groundbreaking ideas and business models to a panel of experienced investors, industry experts, and mentors.

Two exciting competitive events further enrich the agenda. The pitching session will see 7-8 participant startups, each with up to three members, present their innovative business ideas. Meanwhile, the idea competition invites 12-15 individual startups, each given 3 minutes to present transformative concepts. These events offer potential seed funding opportunities, opening doors for startups to turn their visions into reality.
